Circuit Breaker Products
Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB): Prioritizing safety is crucial when selecting electrical equipment or devices. Power fluctuations and excessive current can lead to damage through overloads or short circuits. It's essential to integrate a safety device to protect electrical systems from overcurrent. Historically, fuses were widely used for circuit protection. A fuse consists of a metal wire or strip that melts when excessive current flows, consequently disrupting the electric circuit.
Ensure adequate space in the electrical panel for the installation of a new small circuit breaker. A minimum distance of six inches is required between each breaker, and no adjacent breakers should be connected.
To install your new compact circuit breaker, follow these instructions:
1. Before undertaking any electrical system maintenance, ensure all equipment is turned off. This includes lights, appliances, and any electrical devices in your home or business.
2. Locate an available slot in your electrical panel box to insert the new micro circuit breaker. If there are no free spaces and additional panels are necessary, consider upgrading older breakers with newer, energy-efficient models.
3. Unscrew the large screw securing the current breaker and remove it from its slot. Carefully pull out the old circuit breaker wires from their small holes on the side of the panel box. Observe and note the wiring connections for each terminal to ensure correct reinstallation with the new miniature circuit breaker.
4. Strip approximately 3/8″ of insulation from each wire end before connecting it to the new terminal. Avoid stripping too much insulation to ensure each wire is securely attached to its designated terminal with enough insulation remaining for a tight fit.
5. Firmly attach each wire to its designated terminal until it clicks into place. Securely tighten each screw with a screwdriver to prevent any movement during normal operations or in the event of an electrical surge or power outage.
